The Foundation in Science Program is a preparatory program to produce graduates who demonstrate understanding of basic facts, principles and processes in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) field including technical and functional work skills as an entry qualifications to tertiary education/bachelor’s programmes at universities.The student must complete 50 total credit hours with a minimum CGPA 2.00. The programme operates in UNISEL Bestari Jaya Campus.
Passed SPM/O-level with five (5) honours including honours in Mathematics and one (1) from Science/Technical/Vocational* or other equivalent recognised qualifications.
OR honours for Science and Mathematics subjects for non-Science major students * Subject to the prescribed subjects

A Foundation in Science program can open up various career prospects and academic pathways for individuals, however many students use a foundation in science as a stepping stone to pursue a bachelor’s degree in a specific scientific field such as physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, computer science, environmental science, etc. Some students may choose to enter professional programs like engineering, medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, or veterinary science after completing their foundation in science.
